Why must I become an Entrepreneur (Please like or comment on the post)

Some people are destined to be entrepreneurs. Many are hungry to start a business, lead their desired business to success and ready to stop at nothing in order to make that dream a reality. But for others, starting a business is an intimidating and scary idea. If you long to be financially independent and realise your goal, there’s nothing really holding you back. Take the leap, and lead the company you’ve always wanted. If you’re considering becoming an entrepreneur, here are some of the benefits that go along with it:

Ø Flexibility. Work your own hours.

Ø More spare time (eventually). Spend more time with your family and friends. But note: This is only applicable once your business is established and you have employees handling the majority of necessary responsibilities. Don’t expect to have more spare time until you reach this point. In fact, expect to have much less.

Ø It increases your source of income: The more source of income you have the greater your chance of attaining financial success.   

Ø Create your own environment. You can set the formality and culture of your organization.

Ø It is sweat to pursue ones dream and passion. You can do what makes you happy.

Ø Make it big. If you’ve ever dreamed of being wildly successful, this is your chance. Note that employment will ensure a basket of goods but business will give you a store full of goodies.

Ø Create jobs and help people. Improve the economy with new job opportunities and use your products and services to improve people’s lives.

Ø Become an expert. Learn the ropes of your industry through first-hand experience, remember success get level.

Ø Financial independence. Your wellbeing or destiny is not tied to someone’s decision. But yours and yours only.

Ø Become a mentor and inspire others. Take your own knowledge and experience, and mentor someone else.

Ø Learn new skills. Being an entrepreneur makes you a better professional in almost any position.

Ø Get recognized. Start earning name recognition and build a reputation.

Ø Build a personal brand. Take the time to develop your personal brand and give your business and identity.

Ø Get more creative. Create your own opportunities and your own solutions.

Ø Have job stability. Never worry about being laid off or fired.

Ø Find pride and fulfilment. Finally start taking pride in the work you’re doing.

Ø Opportunity to known what failure is. Even if you fail, you’ll walk away with new skills and more experience you never had before.

Ø Have a great story to tell. It will be a fun story for your grandchildren one day, win or lose.

Ø Leave something behind. Pass the business down to your children and grandchildren.

Ø Change the world. It may seem like a lofty goal for you right now, but your business really could change the world.

Success is inward

Warren Buffett said “I always knew I was going to be rich. I don't think I ever doubted it for a minute.” What you need for your lifting is internal not external. The only problem that most people have as regard to wealth creation is their ability to see that they possess what it takes to succeed. What you need to succeed is in you and no circumstance can change it. Your responsibility is to discover it and you are there. Which means the choice to succeed are yours and yours only. Bishop (Dr.) David Oyedepo said “Behind any wave is a human face, behind any move, there is a mover…” Everything in life responds to the law of cause and effect. This law explain why nothing happens by chance, it is the responsibility of someone (that is you) to cause it to happen. When you look from Genesis to Malachi and from Matthew to Revelation all the words there is to paint a picture of who you are and the power that God as invested in you to have dominion over all things on the surface of the earth. The challenge is that human nature is endowed with self doubt and with mind that generate negative thoughts. It is important to note that all negative things you see happening around you are agents of distraction. They are there to impress fear on your mind and cause you to stay helpless. But for every soul that is optimist in life and passionate about his or her vision will surely achieve any goals he set out to accomplish.

The concept of pay yourself first is foundational to building financial security and independence. The steps to financial independence can be summarised into two – spend less than you earn and pay yourself first. Both work hand-in-hand. Paying yourself first will not work unless you spend less than you earn.

Paying yourself first is not just about allocating funds for your personal use from your monthly income. It requires a whole new mindset for it to be done well on a sustainable basis. When I first started out, I had a hard time understanding the concept of ‘pay yourself first.’ I thought it was simply a matter of changing the sequence of disbursing your monthly income, putting savings first before spending. I would save for a month or two, and then un-save. Something will always come up to swallow up the money I have saved, and I will be back to square one. I continued on this yo-yo mode for years until it dawned on me that it involves a paradigm shift. It involves a savings and investment focus anchored by saving first and adjusting your current lifestyle to fit what is left to spend. This means what is left becomes your new net income. This is where you cut your coat according to your cloth, not your size. To make the coat fit, you may have to lose some weight. You need to give your money some time to work hard for you so that you don’t have to work so hard for money. It was a total new mindset.
